Welcome to Trunk Monkey!

I’m Dave, the creator of the Trunk Monkey. My journey started 15 years ago when I restored a 1971 VW T2 Bay campervan for my wife, Dawn, who had fond childhood memories of family trips in one. What began as a hobby quickly became a passion - I caught the bug and went on to restore countless Beetles, Campervans, Squarebacks, and even a Citroën HY van.

A decade ago, I moved into modern campervan conversions - transforming VW T4s, T5s, and Crafters - eventually turning that passion into my full-time business, Bliss Conversions.

After many adventures in my own T6 vans, upgrading to a Crafter brought the extra space I’d been craving. But as every camper owner knows, more space often just means more clutter. I still lacked a dedicated place for bulky, wet, or muddy gear. That’s when the idea for the TRUNK MONKEY was born.
